Borneo Tech Summit is the first technology event held in Sabah to promote the progressive use of technology and innovation in all sectors with the aim of developing the state's economy and encouraging cooperation among all stakeholders such as the government, higher education institutions, the private sector and grassroots communities.

Borneo Tech Summit is the result of collaboration between Sabah's Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, SCENIC and Sabah Net Sdn Bhd  with a joint support by giant entities such as MDEC, Invest Sabah, Sabah Tourism Board, IKRAR, Qhazanah Berhad Sabah, Measat, SSTC and JPKN. We are proud to see many entities that, despite having different mandates, are equally united to achieve important agendas for the state. 

The purpose of Borneo Tech Summit is to make the public aware of the importance of always keeping up with the development of technology and innovation in any sector, not only to drive the economy but to solve problems and challenges in Sabah. Technology is constantly changing and developing rapidly. If we don't have the same speed in keeping up with current technology developments, we will be left behind. Therefore, this program is organized to support discussions and partnerships related to the technology and innovation sector.
